Skill Development Programme on ‘Effective Interpersonal Skills in Promoting Personal and Professional Success’

 

The School of Agriculture (SOA) organized the Skill Development Programme on ‘Effective Interpersonal Skills in Promoting Personal and Professional Success’ on 24 August 2023 under the aegis of the Cultural Committee, SOA. The students of B Sc (Hons) Agriculture, Semester I participated in the event. Prof (Dr) Mahipal Singh, Dean SOA welcomed all the participants and inspired the students to understand the significance and connotation of interpersonal skills in personal and professional life. Later, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Head of the Department quoted as saying, "Mastering interpersonal skills fosters fruitful relationships, propels career growth, refines leadership, nurtures teamwork, and amplifies effective communication—key catalysts for achieving remarkable personal and professional accomplishments." He persuaded the students to keep a balance between personal and professional life. Furthermore, Dr Rachna Juyal delivered a lecture on the implications of interpersonal skills and its significance. She emphasized by saying, “Interpersonal skills, the bedrock of effective human interaction, encompass communication, empathy, active listening, conflict resolution, and collaboration. They are pivotal in forming meaningful relationships, navigating social dynamics, succeeding in diverse workplaces, and fostering personal growth. Mastery of these skills empowers individuals to connect authentically, lead with empathy, and contribute harmoniously to their personal and professional spheres.” Students put their doubts in the questionnaire round which were aptly resolved. At the end, Dr. Rajat Singh proposed a Vote of Thanks.
