Centre of Excellence in Smart devices and IoT applications under the aegis of Division of Research & Innovation conducted Summer Internship on Internet of Things Enabled Innovation in Transdisciplinary Aspect of 4/6 weeks course for the students at the Uttaranchal University from 20-06-2022 to 18-07-2022. As a part of participation, 82 students are registered from the Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (CSE), Uttaranchal College of Polytechnic (UCP), School of Agriculture (SoA), School of Applied & Life Sciences (SALS), and Uttaranchal Institute of management (UIM). The internship, the students have learned the programming of the Internet of Things (IoT) board through Arduino with various sensors, actuators and LCD display. In addition to this, the student has learned about the interfacing of the Blynk Cloud Mobile App and ThingSpeak server for monitoring and controlling the IoT devices through internet connectivity. In the final of internship, the students have developed different projects on different problem statement such as agriculture, air quality monitoring, automatic irrigation, personal assisted robot, garbage collector robot, wild animal detection, home automation, health machine, and touchless bell.

1st Week:
On 20th June 2022, the Summer Internship commenced in the department of mechanical engineering, Uttaranchal University. The internship is begun by the honorable chancellor Shri. Jitendra Joshi, and Prof (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor acted as Guest of Honor. In the first week of the Internship, the resource persons addressed the significance of Industry 4.0 and its technologies such as IoT, AI, big data, robotics, blockchain, and Augmented reality/virtual reality (VR). Furthermore, the different problem statements related to smart cities, waste management, home automation, energy management, smart street lighting, smart agriculture, etc. are discussed with the students. After the discussion of the problem statement, the students are divided into 11 groups of multidisciplinary and finalized the problem statement in 11 groups. Various hardware components are discussed with the students, to deliver the function of each component for the development of their project based on the IoT and cloud server.
