The Students club School of Agriculture celebrated The World Forest day on 21st March 2023. Dr. M.P. Singh, Dean School of agriculture (SOA), began the group discussion with the words of encouragement. The students, Ms. Arushi rana and Akshita Negi started the activity by introducing the teams and their members for group discussion. They explained the rules and regulations for group discussion. There were four themes for the group discussion i.e., Forest & Production, Forest & Global warming, Forest & health and Forest & livelihood. There were four teams for the group discussion. Dr. Neha Saini, Mr. Jayanti Ballabh, Dr. Atin Kumar & Dr. Rachna Juyal was the Jury members.
During the discussion there was main focus on preservation and conservation of forest , awareness among the people about the forest conservation, substitute products must be available, vacant place should be filled by vegetative growth etc.
There was a questioner round for taking their view on the related topics from the participants. Dr. Neha Saini declared the result of group discussion and first prize given to team A, second prize given to Team B and last third prize givens to Team D. The event was conducted under the guidance of Mr Sunil Prakash, (Co-ordinator student club, SoA). The event has been successfully completed with the vote of thanks Dr. Rajendar Prasad (HOD, SoA).
