The Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized nine-day orientation and induction program for new students from September 01 to September 10, 2022.
The first day's event began with a welcome address by Mr. Manish Badoni, Principal, USHHM. He made a point of highlighting the value of the hotel industry to society.
On day two, University organized a centralized orientation program. The Chancellor, Shri Jitendra Joshi welcomed the students and urged them to abide by the university's rules.
On day three, a theatre drama organized by Dhad Natya Mandal, titled was drama “Refund”.
On day four, USHHM organized Rangoli competition for the students.
On day five, a session was conducted by Experts from the Division of Research and Innovation, Uttaranchal University for fresher students by Prof. (Dr.) Anita Gehlot, Head, R & I. She talked about Industry 4.0, patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets.
On day six, Mr Abhishek Negi delivered an overview of the Academic curriculum and he also made aware the students of the maintenance of attendance criteria to appear in the examinations.
On day seven, Mr. Gaurav Joshi, 7th semester student conducted a session on ERP for first-year students.
On day eight, a Guest Lecture on “Scope of Hospitality Sector” was given by Guest speaker Mr. Himanshu Sharma, Assistant Front Office Manager, Jaypee Residency Manor, Mussoorie.
On day nine, an Ice-Breaking Session between First- and Second year students was held in USHHM. The activity is conducted for the formal introduction of new students with the old students in a fun-filled way.
