Uttaranchal University under the aegis of Law College Dehradun celebrated 75th Independence Day on 15 August 2022 with delight and jubilation. The Independence Day commemoration began with Flag hoisting followed by the National anthem. Along with this Cultural Society, Law College Dehradun presented various cultural performances which included choir singing of our national song Vande Mataram followed by a mesmerizing drama act by Rijul Goel enacted upon one of our freedom revolutionary icon Bhagat Singh, and several other cultural performances.
Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun & Dean, Law College Dehradun enlightened the audience with his encouraging words, focusing on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrated joyfully throughout the country and this was followed by an inspirational address by Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University. Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi conveyed his heartiest Independence Day wishes to the gathering and the event was concluded by Prof (Dr) Anil Dixit, reciting a beautiful poem. This year India marked its 75th Independence Day and reminded us of all the struggles for which we are gratified to celebrate our freedom, keeping our ideals pure as always.
