An industrial visit to Rubico IT Pvt. Ltd was organized by Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) in collaboration with CRC, Uttaranchal University on 22 March 2024 for the students of MCA first year, under the supervision of Dr. Monisha Awasthi and Dr. Amarjeet Rawat.
Rubico IT Pvt. Ltd is a leading software development company known for its innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies. The visit's purpose was to give students real-world insights into software development processes, project management, and the application of theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.
Ms Ankita Rawat, HR at Rubico, led a session focusing on the skill set required in IT professionals. She also emphasized the importance of soft skills and the intricacies of appearing in interviews. Following that, Mr Pawan Bisht, the Technical Trainer, delivered an engaging session on "Full Stack Web Development." He encouraged students to refine their focus within the field, highlighting web development, mobile application development, and software testing as potential areas of specialization.
Students had the opportunity to interact with software engineers, project managers, and other staff members. They actively participated by asking questions related to project management, software architecture, and software testing. The event was a testament to the collaborative efforts of the CRC team, headed by Mr Iqbal Singh, and supported by Mr Parmjit Singh, Mr Vibhum Agarwal, Ms Gurpreet Sharma, and Mr Rachit Rastogi. Special appreciation was extended to Dr Sonal Sharma, Dean, Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, and Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, Head of the Department, for their guidance and support throughout the visit. Furthermore, the organizing team, consisting of Mr Abhishek Pathak, Ms Manisha Saini, and Ms Manisha Khanduja, played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
