A workshop named “Green and Environmental Audit Context & Concept” was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering on 12th April 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The Speaker of the workshop was Dr. Uday Pratap, Auditor & Automation SME, EHS Alliance Services, Gurgaon, Haryana. The workshop was moderated by Mr. Awadhesh Chandramauli, Head of Department, Civil Engineering and successfully organized by Mr. Gaurav Thakur (Assistant Professor) and Mr. Bhuvan Bhatt (Assistant Professor) of the Department of Civil Engineering with great zeal. Prof. (Dr.) S.D. Pandey, Dean UIT, motivated the students before the commencement of the workshop.


Dr. Uday Pratap is the auditor and automation subject matter expert at EHS Alliance Services with a diverse experience in the field of green and environmental audits. Based in Gurgaon, Haryana, EHS Alliance Services provide wider range of legal, technical and management services in the field of green and environmental audit including environmental legal compliance, water and wastewater treatment, industrial safety trainings, external HSE Audits for all sectors, SAP business consultancy, EHS management consultancy, construction safety trainings and environmental monitoring. 


Dr. Uday Pratap covered various topics such as introduction to green and environmental audits, goals, complete steps and benefits. This workshop spread awareness among the students and faculties about the green and environmental audit, which are useful tools to determine how and where any organization is using the most energy resources and to ensure that they comply with the environmental policies.
The interactive Q&A session helped in clearing the doubts of the participants. The students were able to get knowledge of the green and environmental audits, their use, significance and process.
