Epiphany, the UU ELTAI Reading Club Uttaranchal University organised the Slogan Writing Competition under the aegis of Dean Student Welfare on 6th August 2022. The event was organised to honour the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign initiated by the Government of India under the auspices of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The idea was to celebrate 75 years of Indian independence and encourage citizens to value and respect the national flag. Reeta Kalakoti, the president of the club filled the air with patriotism by reciting a poem to commemorate the sacrifices of the soldiers of our nation. Students from various departments participated by creating unique slogans to showcase their love for the nation. The Hon’ble judges, Dr Reeta Rautela and Dr Pinky Chugh announced the results and declared Rahul Sharma from BA Sem II as the winner of the competition. The faculty members of the School of Liberal Arts also shared their views on the occasion and encouraged all the participants to celebrate the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”
