Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun hosted the 1st International Conference on Holistic Approaches to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals with Artificial Intelligence (ICASDGAI-2025) during January 14-15, 2025. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Pankaj Gupta, accompanied by University Shri Jitender Joshi, President, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor and Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, UIT Director. The opening ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ritual, followed by the welcome address by the director and convener of the conference. Mr Anchit Bijalwan and Ms Nikarika Kapoor, the keynote speakers also shared their insights.
The conference involved renowned researchers, academicians, and industry leaders from around the globe, who engaged in discussions on innovative applications of artificial intelligence for achieving sustainable development goals. Highlights of the conference included the release of conference souvenirs and the recognition of outstanding contributions through best paper awards. After the inaugural session, participants of the conference were taken to their respective rooms for the paper presentations. First day sessions ended by 5 pm. Many presentations were scheduled for the second day, along with the plenary sessions and keynote address.
The valedictory session started on 15 January 25 was attended by prominent dignitaries who applauded the efforts of the participants and the organizers alike. ICASDGAI-2025 reaffirmed Uttaranchal University’s commitment to driving innovation and addressing global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration.
