As a part of #ACT4SDGs and the ongoing Ozone Week, Eco- Cops- “The Home of Eco- Warriors”, the Environmental Club of Uttaranchal University, organized a Rangoli Making Competition on 19 September 2022. The event was organized by School of Applied and Life Sciences, with the aim to create awareness amongst the students of Uttaranchal Universiy regarding Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nation and the ongoing campaign #ACT4SDGs- Flip The Script.
The theme of the Rangoli making competition was: ‘Sustainable Development Goals’. A Team comprising of 5 students had to choose any one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, for making Rangoli.
Students showcased different goals namely, Gender Equality, Climate Action, Good Health, Quality Education, Zero Hunger and Clean Energy, to name a few. The winners of the event were as follows:
- 1st Prize: Harshita Bisht, Swati Gussain, Harleen Kaur, Neha Goswami and Kashish , SALS
- 2nd Prize:Gulnaaz, Sapna Chhetri, Abhishek Bhat, Anshika Mittal and Priyanshu Rawat, USCS
- 3rd Prize: Nikhil Kumar Singh, Saumya Singh, Priyanka Thagunna, Yashashvi Paheriya and Anushree Sinha , SALS
Consolation prize: Mansi Sundriyal, Yashanjali, Sneha, Karuna Choudhary and Jyoti Kumari, SOA
The event was organised by Prof Dr Bharti Ramola Vice- President Eco- Club along with Mr. Shivam Pandey faculty coordinator SALS and student coordinaors namely, Animesh Raturi, Aum Garg, Aastha Bahuguna, Ashish Chauhan, Keshav and Vansh.
President, Eco- Club Prof Dr Ajay Singh appreciated the efforts of the students in organizing events which enhances their knowledge.
A vote of thanks was proposed by Prof Dr Bharti Ramola, after the announcements of the winners.
